Afternoon Collision on Route 32

WFVFD responded today along with units from Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department for a motor vehicle collision on Route 32. At 16:00, units responded and found a single vehicle into an electrical pole on Route 32 near West Friendship Road. The driver was unconscious and was packaged and transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore priority 1 via Carroll Ambulance 127. Carroll Ambulance 129 transported a pediatric patient to Howard County General Hospital priority 3. According to the Howard County Police, the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and no other vehicles were involved. Northbound Route 32 was closed in the area while police investigated the incident and Baltimore Gas and Electric worked to secure the damaged electrical pole. Units cleared at 16:41
