At 15:48 today, the station was alerted for a single vehicle accident in the 3-61 box. Units responded to the 13500 block of Old Frederick Road, where two "off duty" members who were traveling on Old Frederick Road came upon a motorcycle off the road in a field. Upon assessment the driver was found to have an altered mental status and significant pelvic injuries. Patient care was initiated while units responded from quarters and aviation was requested. The patient was transported Priority 1, Category A to Shock Trauma in Baltimore via Maryland State Police Trooper 2. Units cleared at 16:22. Old Frederick Road was shut down for a short period near Underwood Road while Howard County Police investigated.
