The West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department held an open house and dedication at the new station today, starting a new chapter in West Friendship history. At 2:00 pm, members, Howard County DFRS personnel, local politicians, and West Friendship community members gathered at the firehouse to officially open the new station.
After remarks and a ribbon cutting by Chief Day, President John Coll, Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Director William Goddard, Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, County Council members, and Maryland delegates, the public was invited to tour the station, see the equipment, and enjoy some refreshments.
We would like to thank the West Friendship and Howard County communities for their support over the last few years while this project came to fruition.
