Crews from West Friendship, Lisbon, and surrounding companies were up early Christmas morning for a two alarm fire. At 03:45, the alarm was sounded for a house fire in the 14500 block of MacClintock Drive in Glenwood. First arriving units found a two story wood frame residence with an orange glow and light smoke emitting from the second story. Crews from Engines 41 and 31 advanced attack lines into the structure via doors on sides A and D and into the room of origin, where the fire was extinguished. The fire was contained to the master bedroom, where the sole occupant of the structure suffered injuries and was transported to Howard County General Hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but believed to have originated due to a malfunctioning heating blanket. Units from 3 cleared at 07:23.
