Firefighters from West Friendship VFD joined Carroll County units early Monday morning for a working house fire in the 7300 block of Argonne Drive in Marriottsville, Carroll County in 12-9 box. Engine 31, Tanker 3, and Tanker 34 were dispatched at 04:05. Engine 31 arrived as the second arriving engine, secured a secondary water supply from a hydrant on Argonne Drive, assisted crews with ventilation, and assisted with fire attack and then salvage and overhaul.
Tankers 3 and 34 staged; since hydrants were used for water supply crews were assigned to Safety.
Reports from ABC2 News advise that the family believes the fire started from a charcoal grill that they had used earlier in the evening.
Units from 3 cleared at 06:15.
