On November 18, around 17:54 hours, the station responded for reported house fire in the 12500 block of Cloverhill Drive. Upon arrival, Engine 31 dropped a humat at the culdesac and laid out 600 feet of 4 inch supply line. The crew of Engine 31 found burned exterior paricle board and trim to the top of a window on the second floor. This was next to a hot chimney with an active fire in the fireplace.
The homeowner stated he saw flames and put them out with a garden house. The crew of Engine 31 pulled a hand line to the interior of the house via the garagea and checked the first, second, attic areas for fire extension using the thermal imaging camera. Engine 31's crew removed the trim around the window and found evidence of fire, and hot embers were found and extingished. The area was checked again using the thermal imaging camera to determine if there were any remaining hot spots. The exposed area then was covered with plastic to protect the house from the elements. Tanker 3 prepared to setup folding tank operations if needed.
