It is with great sadness that I tell you that Miss Gladys has passed away on September 11, 2007. She was 97 years young. She was a very important part of this fire department for 61 years in the Auxiliary. Miss Gladys is Chief Day's grandmother. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint James United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 9, West Friendship, MD 21794 or to West Friendship Volunteer Fire Dept., 12460 Frederick Rd., West Friendship, MD 21794.
