First Due Fire in Sykesville

At 13:44 units were dispatched for the reported house fire in the 1100 block of Taylor Park Road in Sykesville. The caller stated that a motorcycle in the attached garage caught fire while it was being worked on and confirmed that all occupants had safely exited the home.
Paramedic 35 and Tanker 3 arrived first to find an active fire in the garage and quickly pulled an attack line from Tanker 3 to begin fire attack. Engine 32 arrived shortly after and pulled a second line into the home. Crews made a quick knock and found no extension to the home.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Howard County Office of the Fire Marshal.
