| During tonight’s company meeting, WFVFD members bid a heartfelt farewell to Vice President Peter Konold and his wife, Toni, as Peter officially stepped down from his position ahead of their move south to enjoy retirement.
Peter joined WFVFD in 2012 as an administrative member and was elected Vice President shortly thereafter, serving in that role continuously until this year. Throughout his time with the department, Peter also served on the Board of Directors and as Board Chairperson, helping guide and support the organization through years of growth and service to the community.
Toni joined WFVFD in 2016 and became an active member of the Auxiliary, dedicating many years of service and support to the department and its members.
In recognition of his years of leadership and commitment, Peter was presented with a plaque designating him as Vice President Emeritus, as well as a handmade quilt crafted by Jeannine Reed.
WFVFD extends its sincere gratitude to both Peter and Toni for their years of dedication and friendship. We wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter and enjoy new adventures. |
