At 13:02 this afternoon Engine 31 was requested by Carroll County to respond to Sykesville for a reported house fire in the 1600 block of Heather Heights Road. Engine 31's crew arrived on scene after units from Carroll County's Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department and deployed a 400 foot attack line to the rear of the residence from an adjoining court. The fire was brought under control in about 25 minutes, and Engine 31 cleared at 16:41.
