Units responded this afternoon for a house fire in West Friendship. At 15:28 WFVFD and surrounding companies were alerted for a reported basement fire in the 2600 block of Wellworth Way. Units arrived to find a two story single family home with smoke showing from side C. Engine 31 encountered heavy smoke in the basement and located the fire in the sub-basement. Units made a quick knock on the fire and began salvage and overhaul operations. The fire is under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal and units cleared at 17:52.
