West Friendship VFD Holds Annual Awards Banquet

On Saturday evening, December 01, 2007, the West Friendship VFD held its Annual Awards banquet at the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department social hall. Members were joined by various local dignitaries, representatives from local neighboring fire departments, and community members in celebrating their accomplishments over the past year. As always, guests enjoyed the wonderful meal prepared by the Sykesville Auxiliary and the smooth sounds provided by DJ Terrence Sheppard. Thanks to the crews from the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, and Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department who filled in Station 3 during the banquet to allow all the members a well deserved night off.
