It is with the deepest regret that the members of the West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department must announce the passing of Shirley J. Mills, 67. Shirley joined the WFVFD in 1968 and has served ever since as an Auxiliary and Administrative Member. She served on countless committees and worked at many fundraising events including suppers served at the old fire station, the Howard County Fair, and yard sales held by the WFVFD Auxiliary. Shirley worked for the Howard County Public School System for many years in the food service department and retired to spend time with her loved ones. We will miss Shirley and her lifelong contributions to the WFVFD and the Howard County community and we stand with and send our sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the fire station. Face masks and social distancing are required.
