Units from West Friendship responded this afternoon for a large brush fire in Columbia. The initial call was dispatched at 12:01 for the report of a "forest fire" near Woodpark Lane in Station 10's first due. Arriving units quickly requested additional resources as several acres were burning near the power lines and wooded areas to the west of Murray Hill Road. Tanker 3, Brush 38, and ATV 3 responded and operated on scene until approximately 15:30. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the HCDFRS Office of the Fire Marshal.
