Members were up early this morning fighting a house fire in the 3-60 box. At 01:36 units responded to the 1400 block of Coventry Meadows Drive in Sykesville for the report of a fire in the attached garage. Arriving minutes after being dispatched, Paramedic 35 advised of a single family home with fire in the garage and that the home appeared to have been evacuated. Engine 31 arrived moments later and pulled an attack line to the garage on the delta side of the home to begin fire attack. Chief 3, with command, requested the task force be started while a primary search of the home was completed. The fire was contained to the garage area of the home and it was declared out at 03:51. One occupant of the home was evaluated by medical personnel for smoke inhalation and refused transport. Units cleared at 04:35.
