Members went over to the Public Safety Training Center this evening to take part in a Fire Dynamics Training utilizing dollhouses as props. This exercise allowed firefighters to visualize fire and smoke flow patterns, as well as see the effects of different ventilation techniques and door control. According to the UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute, simply closing your bedroom door at night can make a big difference in surviving a fire. Thanks to the HCDFRS Training Division for hosting us for this valuable training. |
