This afternoon units responded for a fire in Ellicott City in Company 8's area. At 15:10 the station was alerted for a report of a house fully involved in fire in the 10000 block of Emily Fox Court. While enroute reports indicated that smoke from the fire could be seen drifting across I-70. First arriving units found a two story single family home with fire in the garage, laid out from the hydrant nearby, and began offensive operations. Searches were negative and Engine 82 pulled a line into the Alpha side and was able to contain the fire to the garage with some smoke extension into the residence. Tower 3 handled RIC duties while Engine 32 staged. Units cleared at 19:39.
Early the next morning at 00:13 units responded back to the residence after reports that the home was on fire again. Upon arrival Engine 82 found a working fire in the room above the garage with fire showing from the Bravo and Charlie sides and requested the Task Force respond. A defensive attack was initiated on the garage while units operated in the main part of the structure. Tower 3 handled RIC duties again and Rehab 1 (currently housed at WFVFD) responded to support. Units cleared at 05:29.
