Units responded this rainy afternoon for a traffic collision in Ellicott City. At 14:43, WFVFD and surrounding companies were alerted for a reported motor vehicle collision with injuries on Route 40 at Marriottsville Road in the 3-10 box. Upon arrival Engine 31 located a two vehicle collision in the westbound lanes with one trapped in one of the vehicles. Engine 31's crew handled the extrication after which care was transitioned to Paramedic 85. 85 and Ambulance 86 each transported one patient to the hospital. Units cleared at 15:25 after turning the scene over to the Howard County Police
