| The officers and members of the WFVFD would like to thank Baltimore Gas and Electric for a $5000 grant awarded as part of its Emergency Response and Safety Grant Program. In all, $325,000 was awarded to 65 organizations this year by BGE. The grant will be used to purchase water rescue equipment and a tank/pump fire skid unit for our ATV. DFRS Chief Butler attended the formal recognition ceremony in Baltimore on February 8th along with Deputy Chief Miller and members of the Grant Committee. “Our volunteer partners are vital to keeping our communities safe,” said Chief Butler. “Working side by side with these members provides the best possible care and attention to our residents. These increased assets will serve to benefit all of Howard County.” |
