Early this morning WFVFD responded for a crash in Marriottsville. At 04:18 a caller advised that there was a motor vehicle accident on Marriottsville Road near I-70 and the driver was conscious but bleeding. Units responded and located a single vehicle collision on Marriottsville Road north of Route 99. A BMW left the roadway and struck a large tree stump. The single occupant was assessed and transported to Howard County General by Paramedic 35 and the scene was turned over to the Howard County Police. Marriottsville Road was shut down in both directions while police worked to clear the scene.
