Capping off a busy Friday the 13th, the station responded this evening to a reported collision in downtown West Friendship. At 19:32, a caller who lives in the area called Howard County Communications to report that he heard a crash nearby but that he did not witness it. Other callers advised that there was a two vehicle collision in the intersection at Route 32 and Route 144, bringing units from WFVFD to the scene. Howard County Police Auxiliary arrived first, advising that there was one patient for evaluation.
Units arrived to find a two vehicle collision between a pickup truck that was traveling south on Route 32 and an SUV that had been traveling west on Route 144. A passenger in the pickup truck was transported to Howard County General Hospital by Paramedic 35 for a checkup. Southbound Route 32 was shut down while Howard County Police and Bill's Towing worked to clear the vehicles from the intersection.
