The station was alerted this afternoon for a rescue with injuries in the Sykesville area of Howard County. At 15:58, the tones sounded for the motor vehicle collision with injuries at Routes 32 and 99, right outside the firehouse. Howard County Police in the area could not locate anything at the intersection; the location was subsequently updated to the 13200 block of Old Frederick Road, west of Route 32.
Units arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway that had struck two trees. The single occupant was assessed, treated, and transported by Paramedic 36 to Howard County General Hospital. Old Frederick Road was shut down for a short period of time while Howard County Police and Bill's Towing worked to remove the vehicle and debris. Units cleared at 17:14.
