As members were preparing today for Erik's viewing, the station was alerted to respond to Eldersburg for a fire. At 11:03, the tones sounded for a working house fire at 2111 Harvest Farm Road, bringing Engine 31, Tower 3, and Paramedic 35 to the scene. Sykesville Engine 123 arrived to find a one story house with fire showing from the rear and stretched an attack line through the front door. Upon arrival, Station 3 crews laddered the home and assisted with conducting searches as well as pulling additional attack lines. Units cleared at 12:55, with enough time to get back to quarters for the viewing.
