With Thanksgiving over, the Christmas season has begun. The National Fire Protection Association has published a fact sheet on Christmas tree safety, which we encourage everyone to read. Some of the reminders include:
-Make sure the tree is at least three feet away from any heat source, like fireplaces, radiators, candles, heat vents or lights.
-Make sure the tree is not blocking an exit.
-Never use lit candles to decorate the tree.
-Add water to the tree stand. Be sure to add water daily.
-Always turn off Christmas tree lights before leaving home or going to bed.
See the link below for the PDF file. We want everyone to have a safe and joyous holiday season!
Speaking of Christmas trees, if you are in the market for one please be sure to stop by our stand on Butterfly Court (right across Route 99 from the station). We would love to supply your Christmas tree and/or holiday wreaths this year, so please come and see us!
