While at the Howard County Fair this evening units were alerted for a motor vehicle collision. At 19:53 the tones sounded for Route 32 near Day Road for a reported collision with multiple injuries. With plenty of volunteers at the Fairgrounds to run our stands and staff the EMS tent, the Engine, Tower, and Ambulance responded, along with an Ambulance from Carroll County's Station 12 (SFDFD). Units were able to locate a three vehicle collision at Route 32 near West Friendship Road in the road construction area; it appeared that inattention caused one driver to rear end another, causing a chain reaction.
Paramedic 35 and Carroll's Ambulance 128 each transported priority three patients, and the accident was handled by the Maryland State Police. Upon clearing, units returned to the Fairgrounds.
