The calm before the storm was shattered this evening when the tones were sounded for the rescue with injuries. At 18:31 the station, along with Carroll Ambulance 128, was alerted for a rescue alarm at 1640 Route 32 in Sykesville. Chief 3 arrived to find a two vehicle accident on Route 32 at Indian Hill Drive; one vehicle was in the roadway and one was down in the ditch. Paramedic 35 assessed one of the drivers and obtained a patient refusal and units cleared at 18:55. Route 32 was closed in both directions briefly while Howard County Police and Bill's Towing worked to get the car out of the ditch.
