Members spent a few hours tonight on a house fire on Triadelphia Road. At 22:46 the station was alerted for smoke in the house in the 11800 block of Triadelphia Road in the 3-27 box. The homeowner called 911 and said they had a fire in the fireplace earlier but there was now smoke in the home and they weren't sure where it was coming from.
Upon arrival, Engine 31 laid 1200 feet of supply line in the driveway and pulled the bumper line and a crosslay. Crews found a smoldering fire in the walls around the fireplace and Chief 3A (command) requested the full box assignment. Engine 32 picked up 31's line at the end of the driveway and prepared for water supply operations using Tanker 3's folding tank while crews worked to open the walls and extinguish the fire. Tower 2 assisted with checking for extension and ventilation and overhaul while the remainder of the units on the box were released. Units cleared at 01:24.
