Units from West Friendship, Lisbon, and surrounding companies spent Friday night at a house fire in Glenwood. At 22:02, units were alerted for a possible house on fire in the 2700 Block of Route 97. Engine 31, first arriving engine, arrived to find heavy fire showing from the second story with the entire Bravo side engulfed. Engine 31's crew pulled an attack line while Tower 3's crew, first arriving special service, conducted a brief search of the first floor with negative results.
The decision was made to conduct an exterior attack and crews from Engine 31 and Tower 3 worked on side Charlie with two master streams while Tower 3's master stream was utilized on the Alpha side.
Tankers 3 and 34 utilized folding tanks and water from the cisterns at 2900 Route 97, MacClintock Drive, and the Glenwood Library for water supply. Paramedic 36 was initially assigned RIT duties and then assisted with rehab.
The family that lives in the house was not home at the time of the fire and units from 3 cleared at 04:45.
