Members have spent the last several days cleaning and detailing the equipment in preparation for the summer parade season. On Monday, May 27th members took Engine 32, Tower 3, Tanker 3, and Utility 3 to Odenton VFC for the annual Memorial Day Parade and returned with three trophies. The WFVFD received 2nd Best Appearing Tower, 2nd Best Appearing Pumper Out of Anne Arundel County, and Longest Distance Traveled.
Today members went to the Union Bridge Fire Company (Carroll County Station 8) for the parade during their carnival, returning with three more trophies. We received Best Appearing Specialized Unit for Tower 3, Best Appearing Engine Out of Carroll County (Engine 32), and Longest Distance Traveled. We are probably going to need a bigger trophy case.
